Nori Lunch Wraps are a fresh and nutritious option, combining the umami flavour of smoked salmon with crunchy carrot and cucumber slices. Spread with a light layer of horseradish on Japanese nori sheets, these wraps are easy to assemble and full of flavour. Rolled tightly and served with tamari or soy sauce and a touch of sesame oil for dipping, they offer a perfect balance of taste and texture. Great for a quick lunch or snack, they bring a taste of sushi-inspired goodness to your meal.
Ingredients
-
2 pieces of smoked salmon or 1 piece of cooked fillet (cold – leftovers are good)
-
2 -4 sheets of Japanese Nori (seaweed paper/sushi paper)
-
2 tsp horseradish
-
1 small carrot grated
-
¼ cucumber thinly sliced
For Dipping
-
Tamari or Soy sauce
-
Sesame oil
Directions
- Thinly Spread the horseradish over each nori sheet (use the back of a spoon so you don’t tear the delicate Nori).
- On one end of each sheet layer salmon, carrot and a few slices of cucumber, tightly roll up and lightly wet the inside of the last bit of nori so that it sticks and stays complete.
- Serve with tamari/soy sauce and sesame oil for dipping.
