Home-roasted almonds are a quick and easy way to add a crunchy, nutritious topping to salads, quinoa bowls, or enjoy as a snack. Roasting enhances their natural sweetness and brings out a rich, nutty flavour. These almonds can be prepared ahead of time and stored in an airtight container for up to two weeks, making them a convenient and tasty addition to any meal.
Ingredients
Directions
Preheat the oven to 160°C fan (180°C conventional).
Spread the almonds in a single layer on a lined baking tray.
Roast for 10–15 minutes, stirring halfway through.
Remove once lightly golden and fragrant.
Allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
Recipe Note
Add cinnamon for a sweeter snack or smoked paprika for a savoury version. Roasted almonds make an excellent topping for porridge, yoghurt, salads and quinoa bowls.
