Banana Cinnamon Chia Porridge is a nourishing breakfast made with banana, chia seeds, flaxseeds and cinnamon. Naturally sweet and rich in fibre and omega-3 fats, this simple breakfast can be enjoyed chilled or gently warmed.
Ingredients

1 ripe banana

40g porridge oats

1 tbsp chia seeds

1½ tbsp ground flaxseeds

Pinch of ground cinnamon

200ml milk or milk alternative
For the topping

1 tsp honey or agave nectar

Extra cinnamon to serve
Directions
Mash the banana in a bowl until smooth or leave slightly chunky if preferred.
Stir in the oats, chia seeds, flaxseeds and cinnamon.
Pour over the milk and mix thoroughly.
Gently heat the mixture in a saucepan over a low heat for several minutes until warmed through and thickened.
Drizzle with honey or agave and sprinkle with extra cinnamon before serving.
Recipe Note
Add sliced banana, chopped nuts or berries for extra texture and flavour.
