Elegant, comforting, and naturally sweet - the perfect light festive dessert. These soft baked pears are infused with warming spices, gently sweetened with honey or maple syrup, and finished with creamy yoghurt and toasted nuts for a restaurant-worthy finish that still feels wholesome.
Ingredients

4 ripe but firm pears, halved and cored

1 tbsp Coconut Oil (melted)

1 tbsp Honey or maple syrup

½ tsp ground cinnamon

¼ tsp ground ginger

¼ tsp vanilla extract

3 tbsp orange juice or water
To Serve:

200 g natural or Greek yoghurt (or coconut yoghurt for vegan)

2 tbsp chopped walnuts, almonds, or pecans (lightly toasted)

Extra drizzle of honey and a sprinkle of cinnamon
Directions
Preheat oven to 180 °C (fan 160 °C).
Arrange pear halves in a baking dish, cut side up.
In a small bowl, mix coconut oil, honey, cinnamon, ginger, vanilla, and orange juice.
Spoon or brush the mixture over the pears.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, basting occasionally, until the pears are soft and caramelised.
Serve warm with a dollop of yoghurt, toasted nuts, and a drizzle of honey.
